HOTBAWD: The AI-Powered SEO Experiment to Rank #1 on Google

So, how in the sam hell can a simple, human, WordPress SEO Consultant like myself, rank HOTBAWD at #1?

What happens when you mix AI-powered content creation, SEO best practices, and a bit of digital marketing nostalgia?

You get HOTBAWD.

A keyword with a unique backstory and a challenge…

> How quickly can I rank it at #1 on Google?

HOTBAWD isn’t just some random term tho.

It started as an acronym for marketing my former web design business Bay Area Website Designer (before merging with Boylan Point Agency in Santa Rosa, CA).

 

 

I even got the vanity plate HOTBAWD for my truck.

 

 

 

 

Anyway, while using tools like:

• OpenAI’s ChatGPT Plus
• Semrush insights
• Google Search Console data
• WordPress optimization techniques

 

I’ll document my journey to push this page to the top of SERPs for keyword: HOTBAWD – and keep it there.

Let’s break down the SEO playbook and see how long it takes to hit that coveted top spot.

 

Step 1: Keyword Research – What Am I Working With?

Before diving into optimization, I need to understand the keyword landscape for HOTBAWD.

Since it’s a unique keyword, I’m essentially starting with a clean slate – aka no competition, no search volume, and no history.

 

Here’s why that’s interesting:

• Zero competition means I should be able to rank quickly.
• No search volume? Not a problem. SEO isn’t just about ranking but also about creating demand.
• Google’s indexing speed will give me insights into how fast unique keywords can gain traction.

 

Pro Tip: If you’re testing SEO strategies, starting with a unique keyword is a great way to isolate variables and measure performance accurately.

 

Step 2: On-Page SEO – Setting Up the Perfect Post

To make sure HOTBAWD gets noticed by search engines, I’m applying proven on-page SEO strategies:

 

1. Optimized Title & Meta Tags

Here’s what I’m doing to speed up the process:

 

1. Submitted to Google Search Console

• Requested indexing immediately after publishing.
• Monitored the Index Coverage Report to check for any issues.

 

However, today (Monday, February 17, 2025) I noticed this page was not yet indexed in Google, so I went into GSC to request indexing a second time as shown below.

 

 

I also added a direct link to the top navigation on both desktop and mobile, making it clear to search engines and users that it exists and encourages clicks.

 

2. Fast Load Speed & Mobile Optimization

• Using a lightweight WordPress theme to keep the page fast.
• Compressed images & minified CSS/JavaScript for better performance.
• Ensured the page is 100% mobile-friendly (Google prioritizes mobile-first indexing).

 

3. Internal Linking

• Linked this page from existing high-authority posts on my site to boost indexing speed.

 

Fun Fact: Google usually crawls and indexes pages faster when they’re linked from an existing authoritative page!

 

Step 4: Off-Page SEO – Creating Buzz Around HOTBAWD

Ranking isn’t just about on-page SEO—I also need to send signals that HOTBAWD is relevant.

Here’s what I’m doing:

 

1. Social Media Sharing

• Posting about the HOTBAWD SEO experiment on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
• Encouraging shares, comments, and engagement to create organic buzz.

 

2. Backlink Building

• Adding links to HOTBAWD on relevant forums and discussion boards.
• Reaching out to SEO communities for feedback & possible mentions.

 

3. Encouraging Click-Throughs

• If people start Googling HOTBAWD and clicking this page, Google sees it as a relevant search result—boosting rankings.
